Lawn Fawn Valentine's Day Inspiration Week

Today is Day 3 of Inspiration and Release week! Today we're showcasing several of the new dies: Stitched Heart Envelope Die, Be My Valentine Border, Scripty Mine, and Valentine Borders.

For my project, I used the Stitched Heart Envelope Die and the Valentine Borders:

The Stitched Heart Envelope die is such a well designed die. When fully open it creates a large heart, which is great to give as a Valentine. When folded, it creates the perfect size gift card holder.

To decorate the front of the envelope, I used the Valentine's borders. I kept them together and ran them through my die cutting machine to create an embossed effect. It's such a pretty look! In fact, I'm not sure I'll be able to cut these border dies apart since they look so nice together!

I finished the envelope with some lawn trimmings to hold the envelope together.

Thanks for stopping by! All of these products are available on December 15!

Chibitronics + Lawn Fawn Collaboration

This week Lawn Fawn is collaborating with Chibitronics to bring you some awesome light-up cards!

I decided to create a card using the String of Lights dies.

I started by using several Lawn Fawn inks (Hippo, Fresh Lavender, Mermaid) to ink up the die cut lightbulbs. Once I had the lightbulbs positioned on the card, I created a parallel circuit on the back panel of the card so the lights would be positioned behind the bulbs. The battery is positioned under the star. See how neat the card looks when it's all lit up?

I had a lot of fun playing with his product. It's definitely something I would use again to make an extra-special card for an extra-special someone :)

Lawn Fawn October Inspiration Week: Home for the Holidays & Little Town Border

Today is the last day of October Inspiration Week! Today we're featuring a cute mini set called Home of the Holidays and a fun new border die with little houses.

Here's my card with both:

I started by creating a nighttime sky with several blue distress inks. The little town border was cut from black licorice cardstock to create a nighttime silhouette. I then stamped and colored the car with copic markers and added the stamped tree to sit on top of the car. The card was finished with a soft snowy background using the snow builder stamp from Snow Cool and some Yeti white pigment ink.

Lawn Fawn October Inspiration Week: Winter Unicorn & Winter Big Scripty Words

Yippee! It's the start of Lawn Fawn's October Inspiration Week, which means we'll be featuring the remainder of the winter and holiday sets from the most recent release!

First up, I have a card using the Winter Unicorn stamp set:

This mini set is just too cute! I love that the unicorn looks like it's flying through the air! A starburst stamp from Plan On It: Holidays really adds to the effect!

My next card uses Winter Big Scripty Words:

I created a chalkboard effect by heat embossing my sentiment in white and adding some Yeti white pigment ink around the edges.

Happy Howloween + Video

It's finally October, which means Halloween is just around the corner! I'm over at the Lawn Fawn blog today sharing a fun Halloween card and video tutorial using the Happy Howloween stamp set.

In the video tutorial, I explain how to make this colorful background using Gansai Tambi paints. You can view the video below or over the Lawn Fawn YouTube Channel. You'll have to excuse Audie, one of my Siamese cats, for all the background noise! He loves to talk and I think he may have been yelling at me to open the door to my craft room-- I close the door when I do the voiceover for that specific reason! I didn't even realize all his chatter was recorded... whoops! Hope it's not too distracting!

Anyways, hope you enjoy!

Fall Thanks with Lawn Fawn and Scrapbook Adhesives

Happy Fall!

Lawn Fawn is collaborating with Scrapbook Adhesives this week! I made a fall-themed thanks card using several new-to-me products from Scrapbook Adhesives.

I started by creating the stitched leaves for the card. I used several colors of Gansai Tambi paints to create a multicolored card panel from which three of the largest stitched leaves were die cut from. I then die cut some cork ribbon with a small dotted circle die and the sentiment with the scripty thanks die.

The circle was mounted with 3D foam squares and the leaves and sequins were adhered with Dodz-- which are seriously perfect for sequins!

The card was finished with some black paint splatter.
